Baba-who first appeared in Shirdi as a twelve-year-old boy, was addressed as "Aao Sai" by Mhalsapati, later revealed His full form as Sai Baba, banished cholera from the village, practiced Bhikshatana (begging for alms) to grant us salvation, dispelled the misfortunes and hardships of many, ensured prosperity for those who trusted Him, and performed countless divine miracles-attained Samadhi on Tuesday, October 15, 1918.
As this Vijayadashami marks the completion of 108 years since that Samadhi event, the Samadhi festival will be celebrated magnificently alongside the Navaratri festivities.
At the Sri Sai Sannidhi-revered by countless devotees as "Apara Shirdi" (the other Shirdi)-the Ammavari Navaratri (Goddess festival), Baba's Punya Tithi (death anniversary), and the Vijayadashami celebrations will be conducted with great devotion, in accordance with scriptural traditions, and in a grand manner from Ashwayuja Shuddha Padyami to Dwadashi.
